I don't feel that I have enough context on this wine to rate it. Colossal, with that sweet fig and tawny port side. Interesting earthy pumpernickel and grilled portobello, sweet potato with sage, and a button of VA and RS. It wasn't shut down, but the wine just didn't resonate. Too much volume, not enough definition. Legendary, I know, but just not for me. Definitely not soulless though, which seems to be the end-thought when the modernity complaint is leveled against it.

Jan 6th, 201619/20 (98/100) Насыщенный и безумно красивый букет ароматов печёной сливы, вяленой вишни, кизила, фруктовых цукатов, чёрного перца, мускатного ореха, ванили и молочного шоколада. Полусухое, тельное с довольно высокой кислотностью и интенсивными, бархатистыми, чуть суховатыми танинами. Ощутимая спиртуозность в послевкусии и это, пожалуй, единственная претензия к вину. Шикарно!
