Symmetry Meritage Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

The 14s are in a good place right now. Across the board with Bordeaux varietals in Napa and Sonoma.

Blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec, originally founded by Rod Strong in 1959. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep Ruby red with aromas of dark fruit, floral and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet currants with cacao and espresso notes. Full-body, well balanced with fine tannins on a long finish. Very Nice!

v12. Don’t know why I still had this, but I lucked out. Delicious! Sharp, fragrant “barrel sample” nose. Fresh, rich, deep black currant, blackberry, cassis and plum fruit. Structured, yet velvety smooth whipped chocolate finish. At peak, very well balanced.

Rodney Strong ‘Symmetry Meritage’ Red Blend 2014: Medium-full bodied. Nice balance. Fine tannins. Vanilla, cherry & blackberry aromas and tasting notes of dark fruits, plum, chocolate, earth & oak. Long smooth finish. Consisting of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 5% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot & 3% Cabernet Franc, this Bordeaux-style red blend was spot on. Great fruit. Nice structure. Satisfying power. All in all, a classy & complex wine for those who love bold & intense fruit flavors. This bottle was full of deliciousness. Great day to all! Cheers🍷
