I was surprised to find this 2012 on a menu by the glass for $13. It’s earthy, with just enough tannins. Big berries on the front, with currants and cassis.

Good red with pub food! Fruitful and bold. Cut into the fried food fest that was Jayb's bday party (poutine fries, calamari rings and kielbasa corn dogs), very nicely.

Hmmmm. Alcohol filled leather on the nose. Highly tannic and chewy. Tastes very much like an old cigar. There is a reason they still have this one around.
