Our wine and last of the blind white wines at this quarter's S&E Wine Club, which for whites was Chardonnay vs Chenin Blanc.

Medium golden yellow. Tons of oak influence on the nose, buttery, citrus creme, peach and woody notes. Medium plus acidity (6.5/10) and full bodied. Rich and creamy texture with butter scotch, ripe apples, almost baked, and some citrus notes. Long and lingering finish. Love the complexity and layers of this wine by Luc Morlet, need to find more. Drink till 2023.

$30.00 on Last Bottle, normal retail of $60.00 though
Parker 94, not much of a nose to it at this point.
Not sure I’ve had Chardonnay from coombsville before🤔,
Planted on white Tufa volcanic ash from a Montrachet suitcase clone according to Parkers review, sounds good to me🤷‍♂️

Oh the minerality! Extremely complex. Entered a little bit luscious and very fruit forward with peach and pear, then went to a nice stone-ground minerality and dried fruit in the middle and finish. Walnuts/dates/nutty kind of hint towards the finish. Still plenty of tannin here, enough to make you want to keep drinking it. Mission accomplished!

Soft feel with a medium low buttery feel and decent acidity.
