Tart cherry, plum, herbs, licorice, acid, a little VA. Needs a lot of air. A bit disappointing so far. Will check in tomorrow. Better and more open day 2. Raised the rating a bit.

Decanted this for 3+ hours and it really helps loosen it up. Primarily cherry, with other subtle fruit, and earthiness on the finish. Very good overall QPR.

2012v. Deep garnet red color. Aroma of cherry and faint dried rose petals. A decent amount of acid, cherry, and cassis on the palette. This is my second Gran selezione Chianti. Both of them have been underwhelming. Luckily, I got it at a steep discount. ABV 13.5%.

Medium garnet color. Dark cherry and black currant on the nose. Cherry spice. High acidity with some gritty tannins still present. Expected better given ratings. Will try again tomorrow to see my review changes.
