California Syrah

Leather, cedar, pepper spice, wet forrest, dark cherry, blueberry.

Pretty meh label going on here. I guess it California style (oak and farm old remnant windmill). Decent color even 6 years on. Plum colored. Smells like musky perfumes, wet soils, fresh crushed herbs and cherry-berry. Flavors are better than expected. Bitter bottom, herbal middle and some molasses mixed with fennel too. It’s nothing extremely complex or dense, but it’s more like I’d expect Syrah to taste than many of the wines at this price point. Works.

Loved this, peppers, fruit and earthy! My favorite wines a Rhone style, this one did not disappoint

Nice addition to Thanksgiving dinner.

Bit of fruit and some herb on the nose. Flavor is fine. A bit of vanilla and tar. Some plums and such.

Birthday bottle from Jess. A light and easily drinkable Syrah.

Medium bodied, slightly spicy up front, and slightly fruity on the back. Smooth.

Tart fruit, cherry, smooth and subtle.

Didn't love this one.. Really dry finish, not much fruit flavor. Fairly peppery at the front.
