I love bringing out things like this because I like to hear what people think. Tasted blind at a table of five. Asked for origin and, if brazen enough, producer. One person admitted their sparkling palate was not good enough, 2 including myself already knew what this was, the other did not guess but consumed his glass rather quickly and even refilled. The only person who was bold enough guessed J Schram. So, I give you J Schram at 60% off! Smaller bubbles, hint of nuttiness, green apple at first that settles to a honeydew melon. Finishes with a little bit of tart, a little bit of acidity, and a little bit of dryness. Very crisp. Couldn't hold a candle to France's best? No way, but this is not the intent. One of my secret weapons to very inexpensive sparklers that do the job extremely well.

@Delectable Wine wine this is a RYEW Blanc de Blancs. Last of this consumed today. On a bubbly kick today, likely due to the 85 degree temps here in TX! This sparkler has a little more sweetness than the French bubbles consumed previously. Of course, RYEW doesn't make this, but they definitely conceal the source. Pours a lighter straw color with more of a lemon and almond on the nose. The entry is lemongrass and a bit more tart. The middle of this is where the almond is appreciated. Finishes a bit on the tart side, a bit on the sweet side. Either way it makes you consider the next sip, so mission accomplished! Kind of bummed that this is my last bottle of this, but this oh-so-easy drinker is going to definitely be replaced, especially at the price.
