Private Selection Bourbon Barrel-Aged California Cabernet Sauvignon

Nose is oak with a some peppercorns. Taste is cherry and stonefruit with smooth oak finish. Dry tannins on the tongue. Bourbon not on display.

A favorite in my house. The bourbon aftertaste is very subtle, but it gives off a slight smoky aftertaste. Very smooth.

Middle of the road.

Color of saturated purple, mixed with ruby. Nose of dark fruits like blackberries and ripe blueberries, ripe cherry, some oaky note reminiscent of bourbon, sweet vanilla, strength of alcohol and some more oaky and dark fruits note. Taste follows the nose with signature bourbon note, low tannins, brown sugary, very easy on the tongue. Aftertaste is medium with addition of some zesty note and warmth of alcohol. Really mellow. Crowd pleaser.

Dry, very strong bourbon smell, and very strong vanilla notes. Just not for me. But friend loved it.
