Deep Ruby with aromas of blue and black fruit, spice and oaky notes. Blend of mostly Cab Sauv, with Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot & Malbec and aged in French oak (about 75% new) for almost 2 years. On the palate flavors of blackberry, blueberry and plums with sweet spice, oak, cacao and earthy notes. Well balanced, good acidity and fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, tobacco and tobacco spice. Delightful!

Too young but very good and should get better. Nose has loads of cigar box and ground sandstone, dark oozy berries. Palate is rich and complex, with a little alcoholic pepperiness in the back half. Lots of tannin. Acids are a bit low and the alcohol is a bit high at 15%, so the tightrope is to find the number of years of aging to let the tannins settle but before the alcohol starts to burn through. 9.1+ (the + is if you find that sweet spot).

Excellent cab, very dark notes and fruits. Smoothed out the longer it was opened so the smoke and charcoal dissipated. Bought at smyrna beverage warehouse for $99.

Medium to deep ruby with a nose of blackberries, cassis, meat, and a hint of violets and anise. Really nice flavors with a medium to full body. Well structured with a stair-stepped pleasant finish. Had with Christmas dinner of Filet Mignon with mushroom-wine sauce. Good choice. Merry Christmas, everyone!
