Meritage Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

I liked how the black fruit was not exaggerated, it was a very nice and balanced wine with a long dry finish

Nice barrel aging and nice tannins that still have some grip. Showed much better than the last bottle I drank.

Seems like this wine might have already peaked and be on the downside of it's life. Nice oak and nice fruit. Was just expecting bigger.

Black cherry in the nose with a heavy but smooth mouth feel

Let it breathe for an hour. Color: burgundy core and vivid burgundy rim. Nose: moderate mint, dry herbs, chocolate, and black currants. Palate: dry, full-bodied, fresh acidity, medium dry tannins, and rich texture. Moderate flavors of black fruit, chocolate, herbs and spices. Finish is moderate.

V12. Nice attributes. Cedar bouquet. Rich blackberry and black pepper fruit. Firm tannins and a slight vegetal finish. Might round out with aging.
