Les Murettes Fendant Chasselas
Fendant is what Chesselas is known as in the Swiss region of Valais, where this wine is produced. Took a long while to open up. Light gold color. Aromas of baked yellow apple and uncooked pie dough. A hint of white flowers after aeration. Pallet also features yellow apple, (more in the raw form) pears and vanilla. Mineral notes on the long and crisp finish. Vibrant acidity and creamy texture. I would decant this wine next time.

A fun adventure with the Swiss Chasselas grape.

A charming white with a light golden hue. Floral and citrus aromas on the nose, with green apple, mineral, and yeast flavors on the palate. A classic Swiss varietal that should be distributed more widely...but then again, the relative scarcity of Swiss wine here in the States probably adds to the appeal! 100% Chasselas. 1/10/22.
