Good stuff. Decanted 30 minutes at restaurant. Deep purple, and dark fruit aromatics. Ripe plums, blueberries and balanced earth on the palate. Held up well with dry-aged filet.

2014. The big kids came to visit when the little (6'5"new 18 year old) went to prom and we drank his namesake. Perfect while watching the ghost tours walk by. More times like this please!

We were looking for something to replace Scouts Honor, sine the '15 vintage is so sweet. And this was suggested. Very impressed.

Bought at the Wine Market in Baltimore, probably around 2011-12. Very rich taste, not too tannic to drink with out food

Tasting notes from the Fort Worth Food & Wine Festival...
For $40/bottle, this is a really outstanding merlot blend. Medium body, mid colored fruits, smooth tannins.

Pretty tasty blend. Probably could have left it for a few more years. Tasting a little hot on the back end but nice, dark fruit on the front end. Great with food.

I couldn't drink the 1993 Silver Oak, but the 2011 Griffin is very approachable. Needs some air to open up, but wonderful (particularly for the price point).

California drinks so well - red berries, a touch of oak but not too much - delicious!
