Tried 2 different vintages in a row, last night after a long day of clean up from water heater bursting and flood. Sunday night 2012 Roar Chard reminded me of Kistler style of Chard, in fined unfiltered, full body great fruit wonderfully balanced.. Like Kistler sentiment at bottom. Now tonight with trash half way down the street the 2011 Roar Sierra Mar Vineyard is rich as Chards get. Great fruit with nice mouth feel no sentiment , refreshing tropical fruits with just a touch of oak.. Boy is this good!! Having aged this a whole 1 year really gives this rich chard backbone and Grace!! Delicious!! Thank Everyone on Roar Vineyards for this Awesome Chard.. Charlie Beatty WineWorks Marlton

Sep 23rd, 20142014 in 7/25....knew this day would eventually happen...LAST of the Chards from the '14 vtg I worked there....hung on as long as I could. I remember Adam saying they didn't keep a library like we did at TFW....I loved getting to see these wines develop...working harvest at Roar will forever be a part of who I am as a wine professional.....this was singing but glad we didn't wait longer.

Aug 18th, 2025Lightest Roar chard I've ever come across. Pulled it out due to it being the only one of the 14's there were 2 of. TRYING to be patient with the rest.....T not the biggest fan esp compared to the 13's we had ample amounts of for a while.
