My first RM chard! More lean than TRB’s Shibumi Knoll chard which I’ve really enjoyed. Acidity cuts through the fruit here and goes back and forth between Chablis and Meursault like. The steely nose wants to be Chablis but the Mexican vanilla notes in the finish bring it back from the lean side to a more rich note.

First try it seems a little tight, this 2013 needed about 45 minutes to express itself. Touch of oak with distinctive lemon lime flavors that open to a great mouthfeel , Wow! Just a touch drier than the B. Theriot from the same winery Rivers-Marie. Delicious a must I think with food! CB 93+

Light straw color, lemon on the nose, saline, tart, crisp mineral, lemon curd. Rounds out a bit with a little time. Lots of life left. Vibrant.

Merry Christmas to all, perfect match to Halibut with Lemon Butter. More weight and density than the Theriot. A bit more oak, minerality & pear than the steely, brutally acidic Theriot(which I love) Must open both together to embrace the contrast.
