Sali's Block Marlborough Riesling

On our recent Melbourne trip, our lovely host pulled this New Zealand Riesling out of the cellar and wow! It’s 10 years old from the Marlborough region and is produced by Riverby Estate. It had those aged Riesling characteristics yet still plenty of freshness to suggest it still has some years left in it.

This was the very first vintage of the Riverby Sail’s Block Riesling, what a cracker way to start!

It’s a golden colour in the glass with lemon honey, petroleum and minerality on the nose. While in the mouth it’s fresh and juicy with notes of fresh apricots, lemon butter on toast and it’s 100% moreish. YUM! Thanks for sharing DA 🥂
