This is why I love living in the Swan Valley - Mr.Spittoon finished work early one afternoon so instead of stopping by the bottlo he popped into the Riverbank cellar door to pick up some wine for the evening.
The 2010 Riverbank Oaked Chardy was a bright golden shade on the eye with aromas of melon, apple pie and a slight herby savoury note. The flavours have definitely aged over the last 6 years with notes of smoked fruits, raisins and figs. Lovely smooth mouthfeel with a rather refreshing clean finish.
