Very nice but not singing at nearly the same level as the last bottle I had of this (about six months ago). Perhaps a bit closed, or just variation? Fairly brick red in the glass - classic nebbiolo. Beautiful red cherries and strawberry on the nose. Tannins are quite present and less integrated than I recall - but went well with a very nice fatty dry-aged prime ribeye from Fleishers. Nice lifting acid on the finish with a hint of menthol.

Apr 4th, 2021Definitely one of the best barbarescos I’ve had of late. First time having stuff from them and was excited - did not disappoint. Perfect pairing with some roast lamb. Tons of cherry and earth. Fruit really comes through with a 1.5 hour decant. I’m sure this would be interesting in a few years but honestly one of the more accessible / enjoyable nebbiolos I’ve had recently. Excellent mouthfeel and length and acid - really delicious.
