Made a mistake pairing this wine with "posh Mac 'n' cheese". Thought it would go well, but sadly not.
Not a lot to this wine sadly.
It's easy drinking. Red fruits, cherry especially, on the nose. Reasonable hit of tannins. More solid fruits on the palate.
Just a touch of pepper.
It is a lovely dense purple colour though and is very easy to drink.
From a marketing pov, however, putting something as beautiful as a truffle on the bottle, demands something special of the wine. Sadly doesn't succeed

Silky smooth, juicy red fruits. A hint of pepper, minerality (?) in aroma. Easy drinking but a bit simple if drunk alone without food.
