The structure on this is just unbelievable. I have 3 more bottles in the cellar thank god. Smoke and pummeling earth, tannins surround the entire experience almost instructive, chocolate and sweet vanilla from American Oak, slightly petrol quality and forest floor/wet leaves. This is an amazing wine but it’s simply too early. This is after a 6 hour decant.

Excellent balanced palate and juicy flavors, with a whole lot of life left. subtle nose at first, but came on nicely after a couple hours. Fine grain tannin, black and red bramble fruit, clove, spicebox, cigar leaf. Could drink this all day

This wine offers the generosity of a quiet benefactor and the restraint of an elder statesman. If I am not careful, I might fall in love with Zinfandel all over again!

I hate not liking a wine I intended to like. Flavor profile was throwing me for a loop. Maybe it's just not ready yet.

Showed really well. Just starting on some secondary oyster shell/soy characters under heaps of cherry and lovely vanilla.

Showing its age beautifully! Ridge knows how to make great Zin. Baked blackberry jam, dried herbs, wet rock, licorice, and spice. Medium tannins and medium acidity.

Put the Ridge York Creek Zin in the decanter a few hours back. Getting ready to pull the turkey out now...
