Popped and poured. Nose is nice right away, with rich fruit tending toward the sappy mulberry part of the spectrum and a pronounced loamy gravel note. Open and full in the mouth, but with a nice sense of restraint and subtle structure. No heat from the alcohol and the tannins are relatively youthful but feel like they’ll soften. Intense but not jammy fruit and low-toned savory notes in the mouth. Nice length. Drinking well now but could easily improve of the next 4 years or so.

High ratings but not as deep in body or flavors. It is very nice but not in the league of other Rockpile producers. Good not great- but well worth drinking. Medium body with very soft tannins. 14.4%. ABV so it’s not hot or over ripe.
