Took me a while to decide if I liked this or not. Still not sure really. At times this feels like a great California expression of good white burgundy - puligny perhaps - from a producer we obviously respect. But at other times the buttery lanolin notes are too much for me, and overall the acid was one notch less than I was hoping. Still a nice wine.

Deep gold with apple, pear, honey, pineapple with some oak and smoke on the nose. Medium to full body with a fresh acidity that is balanced by the subtle tannins. Buttery but not overly so with apple, poached pear, peaches in cream, kiwi and pineapple with some notes earthy oakiness. Peaches linger in the hot medium long finish.
Paired with southwestern grilled tuna, which worked great!

Light straw color. Muted citrus upfront with a buttery oak middle and finish. Creamy. At West Central Wine dinner.
