Ridge Vineyards
Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend
Mostly dark fruit (black currant, blackberry, blueberry) with a hint of red fruit splash mixed with red meat, sandalwood, tobacco and a hint of blood. Still acidity left, I only have a little problem with the noticeable oak & hint of greenness on the back end. Medium body, good length. Best Zinfandel I've ever had (only had a handful so no reference point).

Dec 20th, 2016From a 3 liter, about 10 years after "PD" suggested it was to be at its best. (This was a gift from my 21st birthday and the cork was beginning to show seepage so time to drink!). Seriously good stuff. The boozy side of Zin has settled, the structure and savory notes of the Petite Sirah and Mataro are emerging. Looking forward to this with grilled meat, lobster and whatever else we can cook up outside. @ridgevineyards #legend
