Should have held this longer. Bringing in a little funk, white pepper, BBQ spices, herbs de Provence. Maybe a touch of fruit in there too: cherry, red plum.

Sep 28th, 2016A good wine for a variety of food options. I drank over three nights with barbecue roast chicken, bratwurst w/ sautéed peppers and onions, and salad with leftover BBQ chicken, mango, dried cranberries, and poppyseed dressing. The finish is more Grenache than Syrah.

Jun 18th, 2017Perfectly balanced oak, vanilla, leather and rare peppered meat on the nose. Very ripe and beautifully constructed fruit on the palate. Herbs, Worcester sauce and maybe just a touch of anise. This is high quality Syrah/Grenache and I really like it. It sounds odd but I opened it last night and I think it's better tonight so I'd aggressively decant it and eat it with quality red meat.
