If you’ve been following my adventures recently, I’ve been in Nelson which is at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. When looking for a place to stay we came across the Richmond Plains winery cottage which you can rent by the night. As a welcome gift we had this bottle of 2017 Blanc de Noirs in the fridge.

Richmond Plains produced New Zealand’s first certified organic Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes. We enjoyed this blush wine tipple made from Pinot Noir at the end of the day at the outdoor table at the cottage looking out to the vineyard.

It’s a pale onion skin colour on the eye. It’s rather fruity on the nose with red berries, nectarine and peach 🍑 coming through. In the mouth it’s ultra thirst quenching with cherry and peach dominating for me. Very enjoyable and refreshing on a warm day 👌

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine

Very good...and I'm not normally into whites like this. I really recommend this.
