Young and savory, very spicy tannins, good stemmy flavors, a little bit jolly rancher, interesting Pinot

Working from home/snow day/post-lunch (homemade burger on a biscuit with Boursin cheese) wine. Still a baby though. Pretty fruit emerging from an herbal-black tea backbone seems to slightly overtake the smoky char from the burger. UPDATE: on day 3 (stored in the regular fridge) this is beautiful. While it lost its aromatics, the palate is completely resolved with all its components integrated within itself

Rhys San Mateo Pinot Noir 2012 13.3% - very good, fruity, no oak, balanced, would give a hard time to a few tasters on a blind tasting

Holy balance batman! Still a youngin' but had to make some room for the new shipment scheduled to arrive in a few days.

Hometown juice. Aggressive with the whole cluster but impossible not to love drinking it. Killer stuff.

The first wine I've had from Rhys. Lived up to about 98 percent of the Rhys hype--which is not bad. Very spicy, earthy, and long. Not super complex at this point, but opening up.

Whole cluster influence, approachable for Rhys at this young age with good fruit and secondary influences.
