Estate The Unnamed Syrah

Smooth fruit and texture. Nose smacks you with intense minerality/funk/umami/olive,....

Meaty peppery funky black cherry cola. One of their better bottlings IMO.

Solid funk level. Round but a little on the saccharine side for this vintage.

Amazing that this wine lists 12.9 ABV and the Syrah hails from Walla Walla. The wine was lighter than expected, nicely balanced and non-jammy. Touch of Asian spice, black berry, and dark cherry. I don’t think the wine has anywhere to go, but pleasant dinner companion.

Horsey, barnyard, meaty

Probably (definitely) too young. But at some point you have to know if you should continue buying. First Reynvaan.

I've had better vintages of unnamed so I might be missing something. Thus wine had more earth forest floor propping up the traditional smoky gamey Syrah.
