Old Vines Catalunya Garnacha
Awesome, light fruity, still a touch young with higher acid. Close to easy drinker.

Aug 2nd, 20162013 - This is a "three-minute" garnacha; you've got three minutes of beauty before it starts to fall apart. Out of the bottle the stakes are high with gorgeous, clear, ruby color and a nose full of dried rose petals, peppercorn and ripe, red fruits. These are supported on the palate by even more red fruits (stewed, now) and organic earth. After a few minutes, the floral and forest floor elements fade and the lack of structure becomes disturbing. However, open this bottle and immediately consume with friends who are just beginning to discover the wonders of Nebbiolo or red Burgundy and they will be totally happy for half the price!
