My favorite Forst vineyard. Such a great bottle, drinks itself. Punchy, thick, brawny, saline, but oh so acid. 12.5%. The Von Buhl cellars were hauntingly beautiful, candlelit like some otherworldly vampiric, antique resting place.

Seems several years younger than it is. Very dry. Flavors and aromas of tart peach, yellow apple, white flower, wet stone, with just the faintest touch of smoke and petroleum. Very long finish. The 2008 Forster Pechstein from Von Buhl is an outstanding wine, and it will outlive us all.
