Vieilles Vignes Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc

2015 drunk in late 2023.

Had this vintage before a few years ago - gooseberry /lime , mineral nice high acidity - nice with some age

Really nice kiwi /gooseberry , grapefruit medium maybe medium plus acidity (wish the acidity was a bit higher)

Very terpenic and bitter. Sort of unusual but with air the grapefruit and leesy and lemongrass character accompanied some flinty character. Good wine

Excellent stand alone wine, very fruity!!

Aromas of lemongrass grass fresh herbs grapefruit maybe tiny bit of RS

Citrus, tart apple, slight smokiness, dried apricot on the nose. Bright, juicy and clean on the palate. Very refreshing.

The color is pale yellow. The smell is bright, lemon, strong. Taste is medium acid, medium alcohol, medium mineral, coats the mouth, flavors of acid and mineral are balanced from beginning then increases in acidity, then 30 sec after a mild bitterness like a grapefruit peel and ends after a min. Wine presents with little tannins. This wine excites the side and middle of the tongue.
