Sure there’s a little brett but the fruit is luscious and round and the wine is in a beautiful spot in its life. Had it with porcini risotto and raw porcini salad, and it was magic

1995. Well-developed with earthy, balsamic notes yet still retains some crisp red fruit.

I thought this was beautiful. The vineyard is in the NW corner of MSD. A little tight, but opened up nicely with a light decanting. Focused and clean. No Brett to speak of.

2006: Someone else said 1 note of brett...brett crushed this wine. Super high toned cherry and floral that fades immediately. Finish is pure bitter tannin on the tongue. Thought for a few minutes that it might balance out, then it got worse.

One note of Brett when opened, but after the wine itself fleshed-out, the Brett was balanced with some nice deep, dark fruit. Still a little bit out of balance (which has been a theme in some 2006's for me).

Very tasty wine. The cherry fruit just seems to hang around long after you tip your glass. Fresh roses.

Not at all stand out, some what reduced, but still enjoyable. However, not worth the buck.
