A delightful blend that is lighter on the palate then what we are used to. Some berry fruit and leather flavors, but also has a tannin backbone that makes it come off dry. Great table wine.

Purchased at winery in Montepulciano, September 2016. Enjoyed at Manzanita, OR 11/26/2016. Such a delicious wine with such a splendid memory. Heavy notes of tart cherry, iron, tobacco on the nose. Velvety mouth feel. Tastes of tart cherry, iron, cedar, leather, charcoal smoke. A super, Super Tuscan.

A bit surprised that WS gave this a 93. It has black and red currant with notes of earth, leather and anise. Gripping tannins and oak, this wine needs to be served alongside a rustic Tuscan plate of food. Lacks balance.
