That’s just so interesting for a rose it’s definitely past it’s prime and it’s fruit aromas are overwhelmed by the oak, but the oak still adds a lot of depth and texture to it that you don’t have to find in a rose. The craziest part is is that the acidity is still massive. It’s a stellar food wine or quaffer. But I held it way too long

Aside from the fact that the graphic designer in me is a sucker for Red Car's packaging, the Sonoma Coast Rosé Of Pinot Noir 2014 definitely exceeded expectations. Composed of 100% cool-climate Pinot Noir, harvested at low brix and whole cluster fermented, it's a great value given the care and quality in production. Fabulous notes of pie cherry, rose petals and a touch of spice—the lean, racy acidity and subtle texture are almost Provençal in expression. The finish too is glorious, fruit-laden and lengthy.
