Deep purple/ruby in color. Has a nose of plum sauce, and definitely bay leaves, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate this wine is bold, flavorful, and full of tannin. A full-bodied wine, it is not “forgettable” as many proclaim merlot to be. This is a BIG wine with a pleasant, lingering finish. It’s young, and will soften over time, but I still like it’s youthful vibrancy.
