Apr 8th, 2018Inaugural vintage of the Falstaff bottling from Realm. Around 75% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet red with some bricking on the edges. Lovely and complex nose with cassis, forrest floor, leather, a little green pepper and some gamey notes. Cassis carries through on the palate with soft dark fruits and some woody notes. Even a bit of tomato. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Well integrated and long finish. Drink till 2023.
