A Gewurz for acid hounds. The Gewurz pungent florals are muted on the nose but there, along with a little musky, slightly underripe lychee. There’s a nice brightness to it. On the palate it’s bone dry, with very crisp fruit that has a distinctly bitter edge. The acids keep the bitterness from taking over. A distinctive rendition.

I'm light on motivation for notes tonight, but rest assured this is phenomenal. There are lots of grapes that really shine in the FLX, but I believe Gewürztraminer has found its true home. Even better than the last bottle several months back, citrus and spice makes everything nice!

A Gewurz for people who don’t think they like Gewurz. The nose has musky Gewurz lychee-ness, but tempered with phenolics and some nice minerality. In the mouth it’s quite dry, with richness of flavor but it’s balanced with nice acids and has a crisp mineral texture. Long finish.
