So it's apparently International Chardonnay Day so I dug around the cellar a couple times until I landed on this 2011 Sand and Gravel Chardonnay from Ravine. After a quick trip into the freezer to cool it down to normal drinking temperature, I poured a glass. Tasty juice! The colour is a straw yellow, the nose has citrus notes. The citrus develops nicely with other fruit notes coming out. Acidity balances the alcohol to leave a smooth medium length finish. I'm pretty impressed at the quality for the cost.
