Not really sure what to think about this bottle, but my interpretation of sparkling wines / Champers / Blanc de Blancs is a little retarded to begin with. The power in this Blanc de Blancs comes with the observation that the bubbles, although smaller, are pretty 'chill.' Pours a lighter amber color with nose of peach and melon. The entry is a little different. More tart fruit for sure. Not sweet, but also not overpowering. Many Champers or sparkers out there try to slug you across the face before you even have a chance to figure out what's on the tongue, and this one is kind of mellow on that regard. Peach, mango, some nutty characteristics. Dry, balanced, tart middle. Solid finish. Good, enticing smaller bubbles. I am going to keep the other one for another year, as I do think this one expressed better around the 1hr mark than it did immediately out of the gate.
