I’m not a Syrah fan but this is delicious. Warm spices, oak, tannin, medium to fuller body.

30th birthday luau for a dear friend of mine comprised of swimming, volleyball, and a formal Hawaiian-themed dinner with some awesome wines.

WOTN of the night for me. I was quite happy to see it on the menu and was thankful it was as delicious as I had hoped. Very savory and perfumed with red fruits, leather, stewed meats, pipe tobacco, cigar residue, with nice dusty tannins.

Dried raspberry, cassis, burnt clove and hint of black pepper. All of that said: it’s elegant. May sound a contradiction in terms but just a real pleasure in a glass.
