Fully mature. Developed and complex. Rich candied and dried fruit character (plenty of acidity and freshness) w nut and spice accents.

This was really good. Had plenty of fruit as you’d expect, but kept it nicely in balance. Citrus and green apple, white pepper. Nice finish with plenty of body, but not overdone, almost racy.

10yrs old and doing just fine! Buttered banana bread & clove aromatics. Butterscotch and honeyed cashews on the palate. Incredible structure to go the distance. This was a good intro as I decide on Rivers-Marie Platt next month!

Following winemaking posts at Rudd, Dominus, Chalk Hill and Matanzas Creek, David Ramey and his wife, Carla began their own label in 1996. Platt is Ramey’s coolest vineyard. Aromas of ripe stone fruits with citrus notes and subtle spice. On the palate tons of fruit just starting to emerge with apple and lemon flavors, well balanced lingering finish ending with a slight mineral tang. Drink now and over next few years.

Green apple, citrus, nice acidity and a kiss of cream and salinity.

Had the 2012. Nice oak, citrus flavors. Prefer the Russian River Chard, but would not turn this awsy.

11 Ramey Platt Vineyard Chardonnay. Tasting in Kiawah with great low country cuisine. Amazing concentration and minerality. Beautiful with spicey shrimp with grits
