Bad label, great bottle. Everything Napa should be right here! Juicy cassis and black raspberry, sage, graphite, roasted espresso bean.

I’ve not had this wine from Ramey before...fantastic stuff! Wonderful aromatics of smoked licorice, blackberry liqueur, candied black cherries and baking spices. Powerful and textured, revealing espresso, cassis and a display of mixed berry pie notes. This will hold for a few years, but it’s not getting better. Drinking very well!

Wonderful balance in this wine, the fruit was highlighted by cherries. Drank this back to back with a 2005 Showket Vineyard Bevan Cellars and this was preferred by the whole table. Just superb.

Three hour decant, back in the bottle and drank the next day. Drinking beautifully now, fantastic. Cedar, dark cherry, slight licorice on the nose. In the glass, well integrated tannins, long finish with the taste of amarena cherries.

The cork looks brand new. You could have said this wine was a '13 blind and you might have gotten away with it. Still tannic after a decade, but starting to relax and is killer after an hr decant. If you know how expensive Larkmead fruit has gotten recently this is a real gem to drink for what it cost on release.

Love Ramey wines... And the 05 Larkmead Cab doesn't suck. Black fruits, black licorice, good acid, lush integrated tannins. Cheers!
