Compared two Hyde sourced grapes - Carneros. The Ramey '12 and HDV '11. Ramey was lovely, with a bit of a buttery finish. HDV préfères as it has less butter and a slightly more acidic balance. Both beautiful.

Out of this world Chardonnay. Big toasty French Bordeaux aromatics, but fresh lemon sweet/sour flavors. Really really good. Enjoyed on Christmas Eve.

Very good but so it should be for the price. Complexity of fruit and oak as well as a bit of age now starting.

This was really yummy . Salted caramel . Nice minerality . Seamless oak integration . And some citrus .

Amazingly intense nose. Not rich, not sweet, just piercing pure Chardonnay. Palate fuller and more powerful still yet bone dry, very clean white fruit and stone flavours, massive length. Would compete with many a grand cru Montrachet.
