Nose is super mushroom/earthy and a little spicy, which I suspect is the Syrah peaking through. Not nearly as tannic as I’d expect for a wine that’s still mostly Cabernet. An interesting little wine that’s not really very “California.”

This a fabulous claret (Bordeaux style blend) with balance, layers & nuance of the many grape varieties in this heavenly blend which is among my all-time favorites! A wine worth every penny too. Duncan prepared an outstanding Chateaubriand nice & rare !
