Nice aroma and approach but lacking intrigue. Lots of oak across the wine from nose to palate to structure. Besides some deep fruit there's some earth and spice aromas below that I want to be more evident.

Great value. Concentrated red and mostly dark fruit with very fine tannins. Liquorice and balsamic notes, very fresh, good texture and length

Plum skins and rich ripe fruit, tannins that totally coat the mouth. Needs rich food to accompany the bold flavor.

Aug 5th, 2017I'm a sucker for a well done Douro meritage. Lots of dark red fruit, cherry, spice. A bit young and the oak comes through strong, but at this price ( €23 in a Portuguese restaurant in Barcelona) it can't be beat.

Зажатый аромат. Джем из тёмных ягод, молочный шоколад, лавр, зеленые тона, дым. Полное тело, во вкусе чёрная смородина, черника, чёрный перец горошком. Мощно, очень молодо, с агрессивными танинами и выпирающим алкоголем. После долгой аэрации появляются сладкие цветочные тона. Декантировать или держать несколько лет. 15,5+/20

Very nice, robust red from Douro. Dark fruits and earth with balanced acidity, this is a robust red. Long finish brings out the oak. Sits well in the glass.
