Quinta de Cabriz
Colheita Seleccionada Dão Red Blend

Nice burgundy color. Arabic incense on the nose. Medium acidity. Dry. Alcohol. Fruity. Berries, chocolate and light pepper. Medium to full body. The more I drink Dao red, the more I like it.

Light colored, reminiscent of pinot noir without the cranberry, it has a fine structure and flavor of under-ripe red fruit. $6 price makes it a good value for the flavors, pair with roast pork or chicken and winter vegetables.
Would drink again.

nose shows earth and animal... with a little bit of licorice and black cherry....reminiscent of a cote du rhone minus the big fruit.
flavors of iron/blood, fine earth, ripe plum, black cherry, faint tannins.... wonderful contrast between earth/animal flavors and fresh light body.

Very pleasant and for 8 bucks a great value. A True Dao as I remember back in Portugal--a bit unrefined and spicy but some lingering complexity
