Dang this is good!

2015 opened August 2022. Leather and black pepper on the nose. Ripe cherries on the front. Held together with a medium tannic structure that is fairly soft but with just a hint of puckery low notes—enough to keep it interesting, but not overwhelm the other flavors. The middle yields the taste of freshly baked bread (ever so briefly), and it finishes with some cooler minty notes, offset by a few mineral high notes at the very end. I think this is my favorite Portuguese wine so far!

Portugal produces much more than Port. This is a beautiful wine with fruit, light tannin and moderate acidity.
