Quinta da Boavista
Torre de Tavares Dão Encruzado
Incredible wine. Think snappy jura woven with a more structured, phenolic Arinto. Best Portuguese wine I've ever had.

On the palate it's well structured, full-bodied, and very fresh, yet lushly textured with fine grained well integrated tannins like an orange wine with tart quince, pear, orange and vanilla flavors, with a hint of baked nectarine and a long mineral driven finish. 12.5% alcohol

Aug 4th, 2015This wine is all kinds of interesting. Post rain/Petrichor and honey suckle on the nose. Main tasting note to me is tart orange peel in a good way. A bit creamy on the l mouth feel upfront and ends with some tannin dryness with a bit of some acid to give it structure. Really cool wine and I usually don’t like whites that end dry.
