From the Austin Hope Family, a new wine that express the potential of Paso Robles.A blend of 57% Cab Sauv, 23% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot, 5% Petite Sirah, aged for 21 months on American oak (65%new) aromas of berry fruit, vanilla spice and floral notes. On the palate dark berry flavors with big vanilla spice. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with vanilla and toasty character. Nice value offering.

Good value. Highly unique. Medium-full bodied. Balanced. Fruit, maple, hint of bacon. Bacon!?! Just a scosche. Kelly really liked it.

Leads with peppermint candy and that warmth carries all the way through as alcohol down the hatch. Definitely a peppermint tea dominated palate, with some residual sugar. I prefer their straight Cabernet Sauvignon.

This is a perfect balance of price and big taste. Would buy again and again. Big and bold with nice dark ruby color.

It’s value for money night. This is a nicely balanced and very approachable blend from Austin Hope. It is a little more restrained than the Cabernet which can be a little too sweet and extracted but it has a great combination of fruit and spice flavours. I enjoyed this and would add it to my ‘bankers’ under $30 along with Orin Swifts Abstract and Daou’s The Pessimist.

A delicious inky dark pour. Deep and spicy on the nose, which my wife detected 3 feet away on the couch after 5 minutes. Spices and peppers and soothing just short of smoke or leather round or the berries and make this comped and quite enjoyable.
