Interesting. This single vineyard Pinot is earthy like a South African wine, yet its bass heaviness is unoffensive - balanced by a delicately tart high. This wine should probably be a disaster, but it almost works. While fun with strong cheeses and spicy meats, I doubt this is a good food wine.
