This definitely needed some time to open up. It was very closed and punchy to start, but after 20mins of breathing it definitely opened up nicely. With flavors of cherry, leather, blackberries, and a hint of vanilla.

BBQ on the nose. Great balance of tannin and fruit. Smoke, blackberry, plum and tobacco. Really tasty and pairs quite well with meat.

Reddish purple hue. Complex nose of blackberry jam, cassis, dark chocolate, cigar box, and earth. Fleshy dark fruit, mocha, and cloves on the palate with ripe tannins and long finish.
