Under 10 GBP. Sainsburys. Tried a new wine, it needs time to breathe. In sequence it has a medium solid grape aroma, there's a sweetness that hits the tip of your tongue an throat, like artificial sweetener. But in the middle has a nice medium body flavor, so massive mindfuck.

Drinking directly after opening the bottle and having a very small glass to taste, it noticeably needs time to breath allowing the raw notes subside .. now a couple of sips in after 5 minutes, its accompanied by a late afternoon snack of fried burford eggs on lightly toasted bread, seems to work well together.. having a little hoisin sauce actually and finishing the glass.. so now decanting a small 100 ml ish and the combination is very good, the wine not tasting heavy but having a well balanced enjoyable flavour. I like :)

Raspberry, cherry and blackberry to start, followed by that lip-smacking savoury-tart sensation of leather and unripe plum that I associate with Italian red. Lighter than I was expecting. Improved on breathing for a couple of hours.
